Very very solid brew. bourbon is there in all phases but not over powering. base beer still shines the bourbon brrl aging adds some sweetness. still has heft and a bitter finish. gooood stuff. fiveacestx (977) - Texas, USA - JAN 11, 2018
Bottle - Jet black pour. Strong bourbon on the nose and taste. Some chocolate but mostly bourbon. Medium to heavy body and a bourbon finish. Lots of bourbon in this one. KevinReddirt (248) - Midland, Texas, USA - DEC 15, 2017
Located Barrel-Aged Legion at a Total Wine in Ft. Worth, TX over Thanksgiving. I got it in a four pack of 12 oz bottles, all stamped 10/25/17 (I think), a yellow cap on each. The first cooled bottle is poured into my go-to imperial stout glass from Buffalo Bayou. It shows a dark chocolate brown accompanied by a wisp of foam that gathers around the edge of the glass. I take a whiff and get malt, black licorice, hard candy. I have a drink. Quite nice but then I am a fan of imperial stouts in almost any case. There is tobacco, baking chocolate, scorched toast, a caramel sweetness and something boozy. A slight burn and a good finishing bitterness, it sticks around. The other three bottles are now very much appreciated. Community delivers again. Ahuth (665) - Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2017

Deep brown with off white head. Boozy chocolate and coconut aroma. Roasty charred flavor with a bourbon soaked coconut character.
A bit thin on body.

Bottle shared. Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, fudge, malt, woody barrel notes and chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - SEP 6, 2016
22 (I think). Thanks, J (I think). Pours an opaque matte black with a dense and creamy dark tan head that settles away quickly. Big hot nose, showing chocolate, wood, and a vodka twang. Creamy thick heavy body with soft carb. Mid-palate shows chocolate, oak, and alcoholic heat. Long dry chocolatey finish. Though it could hide the alcohol much better than it does, the flavors are very appealing. RRistow12 (995) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - AUG 12, 2016
Tasted from bottle. Pours black with a tan head with good lacing. Aroma is big time cocoa with some caramel. Taste is more bourbon flavored with chocolate, toffee, caramel, coffee and some vanilla. Overall above average BA Imp Stout.

12 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a decent tan head. Aroma of bourbon, malt, and chocolate. Taste is bourbon, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, and some coffee. Very nice. Wish I had more. dmac (6646) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUL 16, 2016
12oz bottle via trade. Poured a dark black body with a foamy beige head. Aroma of paper, brown bags, chocolate muffins, bad old bourbon. Flavor is similar, with a touch more bourbon. Solid palate, medium body, lightly chalky with softer carbonation and solid heat throughout.
