Draft - Sweet candy sugars and fruity esters. Cloudy caramel with a decent white head. Fruity esters and candy sugars. As someone who doesn’t like the style, well balanced and sweetness in check. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2014
Growler, thanks Colin. Dark copper, small white head. Nice sweet caramel aroma with an interesting Belgian yeasty thing going on. Fruity. Body is a tad watery. Tons of flavour - lots of caramel sweetness up front and then it completely turns in to this very interesting Belgian amber sort of thing with smoke - yes smoke! I’m not sure I remember a beer taking such a turn halfway through - and in a very good way. What an interesting hybrid of styles - lots of creativity going on here. Another nice one guys. On tap at the Brewery during Brew Tour ’13’ Buffalo. Pours a clear tinged brown with a thin white head. Malty and sweet, soft wood and toast. Sweet, toasty. Malt and a good amount of sweetness and toast. Soft caramel and toast. Good time here. Enjoyed the brew tour and talking to the owner. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - NOV 2, 2013
A: Amber Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Mild Lacing
S: Sweet Malts, Belgian Yeast
T: Belgian Yeast, Semi Sweet Malts
M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Yeasty, Mildly Sweet
Overall, the yeast is very overpowering in this beer and not much complexity beyond that. FYI....Its a Belgian Amber Ale...not a Belgian Pale Ale...chalk that up to another NorthYorkSammy verbal botch. Radek Kliber (7316) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 28, 2013

Pours cloudy with a nice head. Floral aroma. Floral taste of a Belgian ale. Nothing spcial but a solid Belgian, good to sit and drink. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2013
1L growler shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Pours a cloudy copper-gold with a small fizzy off-white head. Aroma is a bit papery and vegetal along with some sugary sweetness and yeast. Flavour is yeasty first followed by malt and a bit of fruit. Average bodied. I didn’t much care for this one. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 2013-02-02. Much cleaner and and less grainy than last time. +1 On tap at the brewery
2012-12-17. Lightly hazy dark amber body, small beige head. 3+ Dry malty aroma, interesting yeasty quality has a Quebecois quality to it. 6+ Flavour is similar, dry malty quality, hints at caramel, lingering, slightly odd malt character. 6+ Average bodied palate. Okay, yeast/malt combination is a bit strange, and it is just a bit more dry overall than my preference. Growler from the Brewery, Buffalo
