Bottle [32oz] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Pours a hazy orange-copper with an average size frothy white head. Nice, interesting aroma of fruit and brett along with light spices and herbs. Flavour is also fruity and bretty and adds a good amount of malt and a big bitter finish. Some alcohol present but not too much. Medium bodied. Really good stuff. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012

2012-12-17. Hazy dark orange amber body, small beige head. 3+ Really interesting aroma, funky fruity character, very light musty barnyard, malt core. 7++ Flavour has a malty core, funky overtones, fairly bitter which grows as it warms. 7++ Average plus body, decent carbonation. 3+ Pretty good stuff, I can’t decide if I truly love it but it is super interesting and grows on me a LOT by the end of the glass. odd-looking 32oz growler shared by J&M with me, blankboy and gregclow (NOT garthicus). Hazy amber, smallish beige head. Aroma is odd - like Freshie powder - sweet, floral, pungent, oddly funky. Taste - WOW! - really dry and acidic, barleywine-ish but huge dry funk ... nice, but almost over the top ... a bit boozy too. Average body, solid carbonation, moderately acidic, finishes dry and bitter - really grabs the tongue. jredmond (8644) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Growler shared at Spuyten during Zwanze Day 2012 courtesy of Blipp. Pours an amber body with thin white lacing. Aroma is strange - light overall but an interesting combination of light funk and spicy citrus hop. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of citric hops, spice, light earthy wood, grass and faint funk.

Tap. Pours deep clear reddish amber with a medium tan head that dissipates with great creamy lacing. Aroma is Brett, white wine, apricot, caramel. Flavor is about the same, light sweet, biting light zesty bitterness, bit of funk. Medium body, but creamy. Strong warming finish j12601 (13099) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 9, 2012
Growler courtesy of blipp (I think) during Zwanze Day 2012 at Spuyten. Pours a hazed amber with a thin white head. Sweet with a light amount of funk and a lot of caramel on the nose. Baking bread, esters and brett. Malty biscuits, a bit more brett and toast. Chewy, and the brett is quite interesting, touches of wood into the finish. Zesty, super weird, very cool. Poured from growler at Spuyten thanks to someone in RB crew for bringing. pours cloudy orange with fruity and yeasty nose. tastes hoppy, or caramel, light brett funk, malty, and lots of tropical fruit. kinda boozy and sweet on palate. gracias blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Growler. Pours deep orange with an off white head. Big sweet and toasty malts, bretty yeasty notes, and spicy hops. Big, flavorful, and unique. Can’t wait to try more from CBW. dogfishho (669) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - DEC 4, 2012
From a growler shared at Spuyten Duyvil for Zwanze Day 2012. Pours the typical ruby orange that most barleywines display with a thin white head. The aroma is pretty mild. There is a touch of the zingy funk of the brett but the hops and malt bill of the barleywine dominate. On the palate, it’s a tad messy with the sweetness of the malts, the bitterness of the hops, and the slight funk of the brett seemingly at odds. All that said, I thought it was interesting as hell.
