COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for the 2014 Texas State Fair Big Tex Choice Awards.

A light and delicious ale brewed to be reminiscent of one of the telltale flavors of the State Fair – FUNNEL CAKE! This refreshing English style summer ale has been brewed to be ready and crisp, with just the right amount of toastiness and sweetness, finishing with delicate notes of natural vanilla; all great flavors you find in a perfectly executed funnel cake. For those whose taste buds call for a sweeter finish, take advantage of the option to have the rim of your cup coated with powdered sugar.

Pours a hazy golden color with a small off white head that dissipated rather quickly. The aroma is sweet vanilla and bready malts. The flavor is quite sweet as well with the vanilla beans really coming through with some bready malts as well. The sweetness is almost overpowering without much hop presence noticeable. Obviously, this a novelty beer that is worth a try but nothing I would ever seek out again. Note: I did not drink this on tap at the fair with the powdered sugar rim, this is a canned version (canned 10/5/17).

Cloudy medium yellow pour, quick white head. Nose us dough and spices. Middle is vanilla, lightly kilned malt, and mild cinnamon. Finish is light and a little sweet. Different, but I would not seek this out again.

Tap - fiat size foamy head, light orange/gold color, pale malty aroma and flavor, with a little bit definite sweet vanilla kick at the end, a little different and not bad overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet and gimicy to start but built off a decent base. A decent construction of a beer though not something I would drink a bunch of. Golden color with an off white head.

Very cloudy banana color. White head. Smells kinda dirty. Does taste like the fried batter and powdered sugar though. I can’t believe it’s beer.

Interesting. Nice bold aroma of vanilla and sweet cream. Murky yellow color and a light palate. Vanilla up front but not sweet. Bready flavors with a smooth finish.

On radio at community. Puts a golden yellow with a medium white head. Aromas are vanilla, bread. The mouthfeel is sweet and watery with a lift body and medium carbonation. Cheers!

On tap at the State Fair of Texas. Light pour with a big white head. Cup is rimmed with powered sugar. The beer is bitter, grainy, and wonderful. Seems like most of the sweetness comes from the powdered sugar. A lot like a real funnel cake. Great beer.
