A collaboration between Community Brewing and the Texas Tavern League, a group of independent pubs throughout the state.

The beer is fairly light and refreshing, like a pils should be ... but has a slightly higher ABV and a bit more of a hop backbone, largely in part to dry-hopping at the end of fermentation.

thanks to crajun for the trade! Cloudy yellow pour with a tall, sticky, long lasting head that leaves splotches on the sides of the glass as it falls. Could pass for a hefewiezen on appearance. Malty aroma, minty hops. The flavor is lightly sweet with good hop bitterness to balance. Crisp refreshing. A lot of body for a Pils.

Yellow brew with thin head that dies down to a foamy cover. Smells of floral hops and hay. Taste is like a yeast roll with some floral hops. Thicker and more enjoyable then most pils. By far the best Pils I have ever had. This is one of many brews I found on my trip to Fort Worth. Have not seen this on shelves in my part of TX but if I do will be buying this one again.

Hazy golden with frothy white head. Aroma of grain and hops. Crisp with a highly carbonated feel. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass. Watery piss color. Honestly not much aroma. Maybe grain. Nice palate for style. Malty and nice balanced hops in middle but ends with medicinal hops

Bottle. The look is golden in color, thinner white head, and mostly clear. The smell is grainy, malt, floral, and Ok. The taste is the same grain, hops, floral, and crisp.

Tap at the brewery. Hazy yellow pour with a nice white head. Aroma is honey, grass and bread. Taste was grass, sweet cereal, slightly burnt toast, and a little pine. Not my favorite from Community.

Smell slightly yeasty bready. Taste sweet for pils. Grassy hops. Yeasty. Decent. Not my favorite pils but it had flavor.

SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - AUG 14, 2014
Pours clear bubbly golden with a large white head. Smells grainy with a distinct breadiness. Taste is bitter, crisp, grainy. Light-bodied with a wet texture and active mouth-carbonation, Community Texas Pils finishes with a lingering bitterness.

ilovedarkbeer (2753) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 12, 2014
Pours a golden color with a lacy white head. Notes of grains, honey, catty hops, and earth. Very muted flavors.
