Bottle. Pours an extremely hazy gold with a shallow, creamy, fine-grained off-white head. Nose is phenols, stone fruit, butterscotch, apples, caramel, and nutmeg -- damn, it’s all desserty up in here. And...same thing on the tongue. Sugar bomb city. Why do American brewers insist on making tripels as dessert beers? Much too sweet, cloying, and syrupy; the hops and yeast have been drowned in butterscotch ice cream topping. Finish is leaden. Nope. crajun (1263) - , Texas, USA - JUL 26, 2016
will try this again; notes are not clear - ok, but it didn’t all come together - yeast, sweetness (honey?) some bitterness at end that bordered on too much djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 29, 2016
Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, fruity malt, spice, pure sugar. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, boozy finish, good. onceblind (10589) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 11, 2015
Clear brilliant golden with a thin foamy white cap. Bit of a honey and boozy biscuity grain aroma. Smooth and mellow flavor full of bright tripel esters (Americanized though it may be), semisweet biscuity blonde tones, and a touch of wheat and a slight boozy kiss. Pretty nice and smooth and flavorful. drjay44 (3832) - Salida, Colorado, USA - APR 5, 2015
750 ml. waxed and capped. Pours a medium, gradually diminishing off white head, with Belgian lacing, over a slightly hazy dark gold (SRM 6) body......nose is light colored fruits (pear, apple), hints of banana, vague cloves, floral notes, balance to the yeast.....taste is slightly sweet with floral honey notes, light fruits including pear, apple, light spice including clove, base malts, minimal hops.....mouth feel, light of medium body, alcohol warmth and softness present, carbonation adds light spritz. This is a pleasant, nicely made beer that misses the style a bit. The phenols are more clove than pepper, and sweetness is a bit dominant. The body is hazy when it should be clear. In terms of aromas and flavors it is more of a Belgian Golden Strong than a Tripel. Perhaps a different yeast would correct. BJCP 6/2/13/4/6

Poured a golden haze with a white head with lingering lacings. A malty and citrus aroma. Flavor of malt, citrus and yeast with a lingering palate.

It poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of yeast, malts and some fruits. The taste was of yeast, citrus and toasted malts with a fruity finish and some earthiness in the backbend. As it warmed the alcohol increased. Very nice. tuckerrockwood (6) - Texas, USA - DEC 9, 2014 does not count
