Nose heavy in vanilla, coffee and fudge pop. Thin feel, full of flavor, vanilla, chocolate, chicory, woodiness. Fun roasted bitterness throughout the finish.

Nicely done. Strong vanilla flavors with roasted malt and a faint sweetness. Nice color and full palate.

Bottle. A very dark brown pour with a creamy tan head that is initially fizzy.Nose is vanilla, roasted malt, coffee. Taste follows nose with a bit of lactose. Finish is well-balanced with sweetness from the vanilla and bitterness from the coffee. Nice.

Bottle from El Paso Specs. Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Big aroma of coffee and vanilla but stays away from being sweet. Pleasant flavor of sweet malt with a hint of espresso bitterness. Pretty nice.

I have somehow not yet run across regular Ascension but I will attempt to remedy that posthaste. Dark chocolate and vanilla dominate with roasted coffee bean lurking beneath.

Had on draft at The Pickled Penis .. Pours a deep brown black .. Medium foam head, nice lacing .. Lots of vanilla bean skin, vanilla wood, tar, and black nose .. It is quite tasty, solid all around .. . . Why do people insist on hugging me when I smell like a dumpster, it’s a common occurrence for me..

Black with a khaki head. Coffee, vanilla roasted malts, moar coffee and sweet. Great on the palate, coffee up front, vanilla is there but doesn’t overpower the beer, roasted malts, rich and an easy finish.
