Bottle, 75 cl corked. The cork took off like a rocket, almost giving my friend a black eye. Some gushing occured, but in the glass the head soon settled as a rim of bubbles. It’s really artisanal on the nose, with
hints of gooseberries, a good dash of pears and some cellar hints. Slightly lemony. The flavor has a nice sweetness and fruityness, with pears and some berry hints. Medium body with pleasant carbonation, but I would like more body. Slightly astringent. A really nice perry. 110421 Dedollewaitor (16232) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 16, 2011

Bottle. After struggling for ages with an insanely tightly screwed champagne cork, I finally manage to get this bubbly perry into my glass; a well-carbonated light straw yellow body, bordering on ultra-light green. Nose is faint pears and wine yeast, with hints of oak and fresh dew on a grassy field (no kidding). :-P Taste is surprisingly sour, with an almost Brett-like funky wooden acidity, particularly in the aftertaste. This is pretty good, and oceans away from the crappy pear-flavored dish water I can buy at my local grocery store. For such a low ABV, this perry cider has a very solid body; rich enough in taste and yet light. Highly drinkable - at least if you let the bubbles sit in the glass for a while. Dunno much about perry ciders, but I’d say that this is definitely an interesting beverage. And tasty too! :-)
