Flavor is ginger, probably grains of paradise, and more lemony citrus hints. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink. 7/2/7/4/14 - 3.4 bhensonb (15965) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 3, 2008
Bomber from the Coop in Davis, CA. Hazy golden color with a decent white head. Aromas of flowers and spice. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is nutmeg? Along with some malt and hop bitter. Ginger? A pleasure to the nose, and pretty tasty in the mouth. Finish is semi-clean. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 1, 2008
The herbs in this were funky, I couldn’t quite pick it up, maybe basil? ginger? mint? and lavender? Spices are sort of in the Fantome realm, the beer didn’t quite get there. Still very decent brew that went really well with my pesto pasta. hopscotch (11419) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2008
Bottle... Hazy yellow lager with a small, frothy, white head. The nose presents winter and spring spices... cinnamon, nutmeg and lavender; also a healthy measure of cereal grains and biscuit malt. Full-bodied with spritzy carbonation. Fruity, sweet, spicy and lightly acidic. Finishes spicy-sweet and tangy. An odd bird, but not altogether bad. Why brew it? I have no idea, but creativity rocks! Bottle from Wine Warehouse. Hazy straw yellow with a big head that disappears quickly. Aroma is strong spicy citrus. Very hoppy, herbal taste. Thin body. Blah.

Bomber pours a hazy straw yellow body with a healthy vanilla head. Aroma of lemony citrus, hay, and spicy ginger, pepper, and coriander. Taste has a lemon rind and lemon grass essence accented by ginger, pepper, and some herbal hops. Just a hint of malt sweetness. Very nice summer beer. beastiefan2k (4180) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUN 29, 2008
No love for Wit beers on this site and I am not surprised no one is happy with an experimental/hybrid wit. Its basically a lagered wit, which comes out very much like a lagered Wit, surprising. Pours a very pale golden/clear yellow color with visible carbonation and a small head that eventually fades into nothingness. Aroma is very much like a lagered Wit with a clean lemon zing and lots of coriander. Taste is just straight zingy lemon coriander, not even a blend, more like someone breed lemon coriander. Awesome, the lagering is great actually, really cleans up the rest of the beer and makes it a beautiful easy drinking spiced sensation. I would drink this anytime I am looking for a summer brew. This is the second well done lager I have had from Shmaltz.thegreenrooster (4626) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 28, 2008
22oz bottle, Sam Adams "special" glass.
Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is some lemon and spice with a bit of yeast. Flavor is some spice but a huge amount of super carbonation which leaves a prickly sensation on the tounge that takes away any other flavor. I don’t know what they were going for here but its not working in my book. graham515 (537) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 27, 2008
Poured yellow into the glass with thick head. Aroma was bizarre with lots of ginger in the nose. Taste was very heavy in the ginger. kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2008
50cl bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a semi-clear yellow golden with a thick, frothy white head that settles slowly. Strong wheat, barley, spice notes with hints of honey. Flavor has a decidedly ginger taste with honey wheat notes as well. Generally light bodied in nature with a quick finish. For a lager, it actually is pretty good.
