Pour out of 22 oz bottle, dark brownish ruby red with thin but fluffy tan head, aroma brought big notes of vanilla cake, bourbon, chocolate, coffee and roast, nice oaky notes with a nice caramel, toffee and molasses in there as well, very nice. Taste is a nice big hit of bourbon with dark chocolate, vanilla, oak and some slight caramel/toffee, hints of roast, finishing fairly sweet but slightly dry. Nice. Light brown, lasting beige head.Woody alcoholic nose.Fizzy unpleasant woody palate, vanilla & harsh alcohol heat which ruins this for me
What a waste of time and money !! mwbrady12 (469) - Orlando, Florida, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Intriguing aroma and basic appearance leads to strong bourbon taste and very warming mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pouts a red brown off white head. Smells sweet brown sugar oak booze raisin or dark fruit. Pretty good beer grows on you. I’d like to age it for a bit see if the sweetness goes down. AdamChandler (5100) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 14, 2012
Looks like a bunrt maroon sort of look. Smells wheaty and malty. Has this brown sugar scent. Lots of malts. Hint of bourbon and lots of chest burn. Hints of vanilla with an oak finish. Very roasty with lots of german wheat / yeast.

I’m a fan of almost anything barrel aged. I haven’t been a huge fan of Coney Islands brews in the past, but I can honestly say this one is worth a try. Great taste and good aroma, and definitely a good bang for your buck. I bought the 22 oz. bomber and drank it from my beer snifter. edgallow (4218) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 4, 2012
22 oz bomber pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and whiskey. Taste is malts and the whiskey. This one will age well, need to get another and keep for a few years.

Bottle. Pours clear deep brown with red hues and beige head. Aroma of burnt caramel, alcohol spice, apple and wood. Flavor is much the same with a nice sweetness and alcohol spice with a touch of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, fairly solid brew!

Poured from 22oz bottle. Pours a nice copper color with just a bit of off white head. Aroma is toffee, figs, whiskey, fudge, caramel and some medicinal alcohol. Taste is sweet with some toffee/caramel and dried fruits, lots of sweetness and some rye in the back end. A tasty beer for $12 for sure. Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 20, 2012
(Bottle) Pours glowing dark copper red to mahogany brown with sand coloured head. The aroma holds buttery, coconut-driven, toffee-like, vanilla-ish and woodsy bourbon up front with undertones of new backed/buttery cookies, caramel, crème brûlée, honey caramelized nuts, bread, milk chocolate, port, orange liqueur, marzipan and noble hops. Some alcohol warmth on the nose. The flavour is medium sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic with notes of fat bourbon (butter, wood, vanilla, coconut and toffee), caramel, cookies, marzipan, nuts, deep toast and noble hops. The mouthfeel is round, soft, smooth, light velvety yet bit sticky with light, soft carbonation. Lingering heavily malty finish with clear woodsy bourbon notes. Near full bodied.
