2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bomber bottle. Poured warm, but dammit, I’m finally getting off the flu and I want at least one Oktoberfest while the month is still in. Yikes! Definitely blood red pour, even a spongy pink head. Some sweet malts in the nose, a bit of bitter balance. Taste has a load of malt that I’d expect from an Okto style. Don’t think you can really get this color from a malt, but my nose is too stuffy to get a hint of what the real source might be. Still, there’s a peppery and earthy hop to it, and it’s not stinted (being warm probably helps the hops come through). Alcohol is well hidden. If I were hosting a party, I’d be serving some of this.
Not to bad to try. Lots of mocha, dried raisins, and coffee notes. Not too thick or syrupy. oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 15, 2016
Pours a nice deep dark amber color. Aromas of bread, caramel, and hops. Flavor has a nice big malty taste witha nice bitter hop finish. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 3, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small fizzy off-white head that faded very quickly to a thin ring. The nose is an interesting mix of caramel, pumpkin, espresso, and spices. The flavor is pretty busy, the caramel and pumpkin lead off, but then the spice and coffee emerge stronger on the finish. There’s a fair amount going on in here, but overall its pretty thin and watery though. The more that you have, the more the sweetness and coffee take on the majority of the flavor. Light bodied and thinnish with moderate fizzy carbonation. Fairly short finish. Interesting stuff, with a little more body this could be really good. Poured from bottle. Strange aroma of coffee grinds and pumpkin pie. Amber with a bit of head. Coffee/pumpkin/spice flavors kinda work well, much to my surprise. Also tasting a hint of cocoa. An oddly satisfying brew, appropriate for this Halloween evening. slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 14, 2015
sat on this a little too long, and by the looks of things, wasn’t great to begin with. muddled malty brew with light grain/bread/toast...no hops. just doesn’t stand out at all.

The nose on this is nice. Pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, clove, and espresso beans. The pour is decent with a tiny head that doesn't last. The taste is interesting. It's way more acidic than I figured it would be. Maybe a bad bottle? There's pumpkin and espresso with some sweetness and some sourness. Pretty middle of the road. Worth a look to break up the usual pumpkin beers.

IT IS RED! I was not prepared or that. Head is pink. Aroma of malt and wet blanket. Taste has some bitterness with not hop character. Malt character is a little like an under attenuated home brew. It is drinkable and the label is cool but the redness does nothing for me. GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Rated from notes taken 14 Sep 2011 -- Sampled at an Oktoberfest sampling. The color was very cool, but didn’t overcome the fact that this is only a mediocre beer. badwhale (420) - Bitterville, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 1, 2014
Bottle to a shaker glass. Pours a copper color with a while head that is sparse, and dissipates quickly. Nose is sweet, and you can smell espresso beans. Flavor is similar to nose, and it is a sweet October fest, and the beans come across good. Not too bad. gschrade (1094) - Collinsville, Illinois, USA - OCT 2, 2014
I had this at Global Brew. Pours reddish with a pinkish head. Taste sweet, caramel. I thought this was ok. I would not drink this again.
