12oz bottle. Pours with a small head and a very pale body. Aroma has some saison aspects, slight pear with yeastiness and airy Belgian character. Plenty of ginger but not too gingery. The saison aspect is lost in the flavor. Just the ginger. Not saison enough for me but very palatable and easy drinking. notalush (5922) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JUL 12, 2012
Thanks to Eugene for sharing this rarity that he picked up recently at the new Coney Island facility - turbid gold pour with a soapy lace - ginger is very prominent in the nose, but not overpowering, complimenting some tangy wheat, very mild peppery phenols, some lemon/citrus notes - flavor is not very saison-like - tastes more like a very gingery wheat beer - there is also a slight, odd starchiness to it - some dusty yeast - some lightly messy phenols on the tail end - warming, spicy finish - meh, not too bad - at least it tastes rare.
