How I Spent My Christmas:
Big bomber. Pours a somewhat hazy copper color, thick head, great lacing. Aroma is bread and malt, with some banana notes. Flavor is a robust mix of malt and yeast, with some caramel notes. There is a strong alcohol undertone as well, and at the end I pick up something that reminds me of olive oil. Not too bad.
Pours a brownish almost root beer colored. Sweet caramel/malt aromas. Smooth malty flavor with a nice hop bite. phaleslu (10100) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 28, 2016
22 oz. bottle from Randallís, purchased in 2011. Iíve tried to open this numerous times over the years, always trying to get it side-by-side with the barrel-aged variant I bought at the same time, and finally opened it on Easter this year - and we didnít have the energy for the BA variant. Go figure. Anyway, it pours a barely cloudy dark orange with a small, thin khaki head that settles into a very slim ring. The oxidation is showing after all this time, but doesnít detract much. Notes of toasted and caramel and chocolate malts, brown sugar, earth, mild spice, and faint cardboard. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, toasty mouthfeel. The booze is subtle. Good beer; wish Iíd opened it 4-5 years ago. But still good. DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 1, 2015
Bomber from State Line, Hazy deep brown pour with tan head. Earthy vienna malt, nuts, caramel, molasses in the nose. Tastes of caramel malt and molasses, earthy nuts, toffee, medium palate heft. oh6gdx (26482) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 26, 2015
Bottled. Ambery brown colour with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, mild nuttiness along with some alcohol and mild toasted notes. Flavour is nutty, toffeeish, a bit toasted and some alcohol. Rather low on the bitterness. mpstockdale (6) - - DEC 15, 2014 does not count
Full-bodied beer. Really grabs ahold of your tastebuds and doesn't willingly let go. Beautiful coloring. Nice head.

Pretty good. Tastes complex like a barley wine, but a little light like a lager. Very interesting beer that Iíd buy again and again if it didnít cost so much. malkyore (377) - - NOV 10, 2014
I like this beer a lot. A lot of good malty sweetness and a nice smooth body. I like this beer better than most barleywines Iíve had and a lot better than every lager/bock Iíve ever had..... MaBeer1972 (2037) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Bomber from Wines & More in Milford CT. Poured into a snifter. A very dark brown brew with a frothy tan head that settles to a thin lace. Sweet, earthy aromas. Flavor is sweet and thick of earthy chocolate, fig, coffee and licorice notes. Quite boozy. Lingering coffee notes. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 20, 2014
Bready as a doppelbock should be, maybe with a little more extra spiced quality that doesnít really fit...but is not altogether unpleasant either. Medium bodied and malty, a touch below average for a style I like, but enjoyed. RhetoricalAns (929) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 30, 2014
Bottle. deep red-orange pour with a nice tan head. Dark fruit, caramel, quite malty in both flavour and aroma. Quite boozy throughout. medium-heady body with a warming finish.
