On tap at The Rake. Chestnut colour, thin white head. Not much of a lager. Hoppy and some lager malt. Pale ale style really. Some peachy fruit. Nice enough, bit of lager in it, but clearly hoppy. Bit metallic. And if it had been called an APA I would have given it higher. jtclockwork (16561) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 28, 2010
UPDATED: APR 29, 2010 Robust lager. Amber color with white head. Sweet mildly hoppy nose. Taste is grainy cereal with some citrus, caramel and floral herbs. Rated 9/20/08 MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2010
Draught at Fette Sau. Hazy red brown colour. Mild and very round caramel malt flavour. Low to medium bitterness. Very clean. bhensonb (15187) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Light caramel aroma with a hint of hop. Slightly hazy amber color with a decent white head. Near full body with creamy, brisk carbonation. Caramel flavor with some pretty decent hop - noble, citrus - floral? Seems a bunch. Definitely citrus. The finish is reasonably dry, and the bitter tends to build. This is 50% of the way to Boston Beer’s Imperial Lager. Very nice in the mouth. Best lager I’ve had today, this week, this month, ... It is really good - an ale drinker should be able to enjoy this.
