Mermaids, those mysterious aquatic lovelies, have popped up all over the world in legend since 1000 BC. No scientific evidence has ever surfaced to support their existence, but we’re not ones to argue with folklore.

Pour is a nice light gold. Very mild aroma of yeast and pepper. A soft rye bite covers up the usual sweet malts leaving a slightly bitter aftertaste. Refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Enjoyed with Adam whilst waiting in line at Fette Sau in Brooklyn. The beer is copper hued and transparent with a quarter inch of white head. Definitely smells like a pils. Nice and malty with a touch of hops in the finish. Nothing amazing, but fun to tick while I await my BBQ. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Brooklyn-- Pours clear yellow with thin white head. Nose is citrus and flower. Aromas are biscuit, citrus, white flower, peach. Average carbonation, light body. Medium dry bitter finish. Reminds me more a pale ale than a pils, but whatever, it's good and refreshing! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A mid gold coloured beer with a weak white head. A light lemony hop aroma with a background in of light malt. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a light refreshing lemony flavour, with a hint of floral hop, this is then followed by a smooth, cereal malt flavour that sweetens the taste to a light and well balanced finish. Draught @ The 3 Monkeys, New York.

Solid Pilsner. Lots of grass, lemon and subtle dankness on the aroma, but big lemon aromas. Taste is a big bite of biterness with lemon and a grassy rye taste which makes sense since it was brewed with rye. Lots of good flavors and really easy to drink.

2009 Bottle of The Chosen Spot- Thanks Eyedrinkale! Pours clear orangeg with a small white head...aroma is full of rye spice and sweet citrus fruit, light hops and honey?...flavour is similar, sweet and grainy, much more rye in the nose than in the taste, but nicely fresh and bitter, sweet grass...finish is a bit hoppier and rounds it out nicely!

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a lasting off white head. Aromas of rye, earthiness, carmel, light pine and light grapefruit zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, earthiness, orange zest, light grapefruit zest and a hint of pine with a crisp dry lingering moderatly bitter finish.

If I hadn’t been perusing the tap list for a new tick, I probably wouldn’t’ve found this beer, and that would’ve been a shame. Very enjoyable. Spicy and sweet, with an odd flavor I couldn’t quite pinpoint. I see here that rye was involved, so I suppose that could explain it. Very tasty beer.

Pours a golden amber. It has notes of hops (spice and fruit) with on the nose and the palate. It has a good bitter hopped finish.
