COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When most people think of Iowa, they picture flowing fields of grain for miles and miles. Created by a third-generation farm boy, Farmer John’s Multi-Grain Ale is amber waves of grain in a glass. A refreshing, blonde ale, it features a base of two row American barley malt along with a large portion of wheat malt, a small dose of rye malt and un-malted oats, corn and wheat.

Lightly hopped with English East Kent Goldings hops chosen for their subtle, earthy qualities and finished with Czech Saaz hops for their sweet, floral essence to create a beer that’s light in body and color, with a velvety texture and an aroma as sweet as a freshly cut field of hay. Farmer John’s captures the endless bounty of Iowa in a easy-drinking, blonde ale.

Can in trade from jcwattsrugger, thanks for the opportunity! Slightly hazy deep yellow with a thin bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Earthy spicy grainy with a hint of sweet bread and cereal maltiness. Spicy earthy hops are faint with a bit of light fruitiness and a hint of sulfur. Not horrible

Not a fan of this beer. Really stanky aroma, thin body, with a weird blend of spicy dryness and cardboardy graininess.

On tap at the University Library Cafe. Golden appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of toasted grain, light bread and hints of rye and spicy hops. Similar flavor, adding a crisp, light bitterness (flowers, earth) and light sweetness. Light to medium body with a lingering grainy finish. A little bland, but easy to drink and just fine otherwise.
