Dank grassy hops are all over the place in this. Works really well. ads135 (4587) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAY 3, 2015
A pretty decent black IPA. Roasted character is pronounced, although its a bit thin in the mouthfeel. Tried at the Parkville microbrew fest in 2015.

On tap a brewery pours a dark brown/black with a medium ran head. Sweet aroma with sharp piney hops. Smooth palate, piney hop bitterness throughout, dark malts, chocolate and caramel. Nice balance, never too hoppy or rich. Very pleasant and approachable for a style which usually seems to be extreme on hops or comes a across too Stout like. djd07 (14358) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 18, 2015

Growler @ Presidential Suite. Thanks, John. Dark brown, nearly black, pour with a khaki head. Orange peel and roasted malts on the nose. Lots of herbal, earthy hops as well. Some coffee grounds and piney hops. there’s a nice bitterness to the taste. Tons of orange, pine, and woody herbs. Somewhat earthy and there’s a strong coffee character. Lots of roast. Slight citrus character and malt sweetness.
