Bottle Conditioned from Peabody’s. Not what I want from an Old Ale. A slight off detergent smell on the nose. Decent flavor with nice malts and good roasty flavors. Finishes okay with a slight balance of hops. Tranquillity (2435) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 5, 2008

Cask at troon ber fest 07. Aroma is fairly sulphury, nutty malts, floural hop, but blends well. Taste has some good malt character, caramel and spice making it quite tasty. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 24, 2007
Half pint pulled at the brewery’s pub, The Black Bull Inn in Coniston itself (Lake District). Brown in colour with a thin white head. A warming malt aroma with some caramal. Surprisingly light, maybe a little watery. A sweet malty flavour with a smooth finish. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - MAY 19, 2007
(cask @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Rich red color with a foamy tan head. Aroma is rather hoppy at the front with some nice citrus notes and sweet malts. Flavor begins with a very present hop and floral taste which moves on to a smooth and malty middle and a dry and slightly bitter finish. Very smooth and easy to drink.
