Unclear deep amber with tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and oxydized notes. Sweet and oxydized flavor with caramel, malt, prunes and plums in there. Ends sweet. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 2, 2008
25cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not complex, clear, small head, nothing special imdownthepub (15030) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2008
Bottled, 330ml at Kafee du Hopduvel, Ghent. Amber to gold with white head. The advice was, when in Hopduvel have the Contreras, its hard to find. This is soft and fruity, with quite an easy going nature, no big flavours, just enough to find satisfying. It’s ok. MiP (15943) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2008 ZBF08. Weak white bread aroma. Clear golden colour. Nice big stable, creamy white head. Tastes a bit like Caffrey’s or some boring Irish cream ale. Not offensive of course, but not exciting either. Creamy mouthfeel. Soft to medium carbonation. Malty, sweet finish. 6 3 6 3 13

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours golden and clear orange with a lacing white head. Light pilsner malty aroma, mild spice note. Vague sweetness with a light fruity note at first. Goes into a more bitter and dry flavour with subdued spice notes. Ends light spiced.

330ml bottle from Hopduvel, Gent. Amber coloured with a decent off-white head. Sweet malt aroma followed by a bitter-sweet flavour and a dry finish. Good. fonefan (50011) - VestJylland, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2007
Bottle. Amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, malt sweet, sugar. Aroma is like the danish "hvidtøl". Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Flavor is like a thin danish "hvidtøl". 25 cl bottle, slightly aged. Cloudy amber colour, minimal head. Raisins aroma. Flavours repeat the raisins, but add caramel. Good balanced bitterness, but short finish. Slightly light-bodied? Very nice. Sten (755) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - FEB 5, 2007
Amber coloured beer with a small, fast diminishing white head. Very overwelming caramel aroma. Way to sweet flavour. (Bottle 25cl) BartC (727) - Lichtaart, BELGIUM - DEC 11, 2006
Amber colored beer with a small white head. Very sweet malty aroma and taste. This beer reminds me of something I had before but I can’t remember what. Anyway a very drinkable beer.
