12oz bottle from IPB. At home.rlgk (18847) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 5, 2011
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with a small foamy white head. Not much lacing.
Aroma : Yeast and honey with light herbal and floral hops and light malt. Quite a lot of spices too.
Taste : Yeast, honey and spices with light fruits, light hops and light malt. Finish has lots of yeast and honey and is rather dry. Light floral hops. Very light bitterness and a little bit astringent too. Finish has lots of spices too.
Overall : Nothing really special. Rather light but not really refreshing. It seems to me that this could almost be a triple. Alcohol is a bit too low for that but it still feels rather heavy. Too much spices for me, too much honey too. To heavy to be drinkable and not complex enough to be a sipper. I don’t get it.
Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Hazy golden color, white head. Fruity yeasty aroma with grape fruit notes. Fruity citrus flavor, bready, yeasty and with a somewhat dry hoppy finish.

Tap at RNH. Slightly hazy golden pour. Tight creamy white head. The nose is softly spicy. Initially the beer has a peppery character and there is a very rich creamy palate. Bright earthy Belgian pale malt with a nice rusticity. Lightly wheaty with anice light spiciness as well. Fairly fruity (melons) which is also quite nice. Softly marshmallowy with a little bit of light cotton candy as well. There is a little bit of Saaz noble hoppiness. Pretty damn nice brew. I don’t know how 12% importer keep finding these really great, rustic examples, but they do.

Carefully poured, this beer is golden orange w/ quite a bit of haze and some particulates. The head is fully and white and leaves behind little splotches of lace. Nose is quite nutty--lots of almond extract esp.--w/ a slight tartness and a bit of citrus character. The taste is not far from that w/ a bit of earthy bitterness to finish things out. Lightly sweet and medium bodied w/ strong, prickly carbonation, this is a beer w/ some weight but one that still retains a good deal of drinkability. This is a pretty tasty Belgian and one I won’t mind trying again. flavio_b (277) - ROME, ITALY - JAN 5, 2011
On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas in Bruxelles. Very easy to drink beer, light and fruity. Not too much persistent froth, and a little bit floral. Pale and cloudy and frothy. Very pleasant to drink also if associated with cheeses. KyotoLefty (10193) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 19, 2010
330 ml bottle. Fruity aroma with citrus, pear, honey, golden malts, and a bit of spice. Deep orange-gold with lots of little floaties and a low, lacy head. Sweet, malty flavor, honey, lemon, sweet bread, pears and peaches; quite yeasty, thick and heavy, oily palate, slight hop botterness in the finish but I would appreciate much more. ok, but rather boring and gutless. Bottle from Binny’s Beverage Depot, Orland Park, IL: This poured a lightly hazed yellow/gold body with a modest creamy head that coated the glass with gobs of lace. The aroma had pink grapefruit and tangerine over soft nectarines. The flavor added a citrus peel bitterness at the midpoint that lasted well into the dry finish. Nice.
