maekchu (3613) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUN 26, 2014
Bottle from Sugaya. Fruity hoppy nose, with caramel, lemon, and a strange rubbing alcohol note. Hazy orange/amber color, a thick fluffy white head, and good lace. Citrus hits right away, but suddenly turns rotten, some grass, bad apples, yeast, and a bit of phenolic stuff. Medium body. The alcohol is way too apparent. Almost as if it were fortified. Not so pleasant.

On tap at Eiderdown. Pours deep golden with small white head into a snifter. Little lacing, medium body, light carbonation, and spicy citrus aroma. Taste is spicy dry citrus and finishes bitter hops. Wouldnt seek this again.
