330 ml bottle. Fruity aroma with citrus, pear, honey, golden malts, and a bit of spice. Deep orange-gold with lots of little floaties and a low, lacy head. Sweet, malty flavor, honey, lemon, sweet bread, pears and peaches; quite yeasty, thick and heavy, oily palate, slight hop botterness in the finish but I would appreciate much more. ok, but rather boring and gutless. Carefully poured, this beer is golden orange w/ quite a bit of haze and some particulates. The head is fully and white and leaves behind little splotches of lace. Nose is quite nutty--lots of almond extract esp.--w/ a slight tartness and a bit of citrus character. The taste is not far from that w/ a bit of earthy bitterness to finish things out. Lightly sweet and medium bodied w/ strong, prickly carbonation, this is a beer w/ some weight but one that still retains a good deal of drinkability. This is a pretty tasty Belgian and one I won’t mind trying again. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - APR 3, 2011
On tap at Moeder Lambik. Hazy gold with medium head. Nose of hops and pine. Sweet fruit nose. Taste of fruits, hops and water. Quite nice beer. JorisPPattyn (10001) - Ursel, BELGIUM - JUL 2, 2012
No head but rim over pale copperish coloured beer. Fresh pale & toasted malts, nice aroma enlived by fine aromahops. Also some grain and/or grass. Toasted, waffles gone too long, gardenherbs in the flavour. Well-carbonated, medium bodied. Absolutely like the nose. If the rest had been up to that standard...Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2004

More orange than blond, end totally flunky; good yellowish head, slowly retreating. Nose is lactic, roasted cookies, even some butterscotch... finishes citrussy. Quite bitter initial taste, not hoppy, but citrus-zeste like. Gets sweeter afterwards, without ever becoming really malty. In the end, there’s even a whiff of aroma-hops. Finish is very good & balanced. Medium bodied, slight creaminess; finish feels, as said under ’taste’, just right, as if enriched with freshly pressed fruit juice. It’s more than OK. When the "Mars Especial" came to supplant the old "Maartse", I was less than happy. This first fully new post-Willy C. beer, promesses, however.
Golden coloured with much sediment. Aroma of apples. Fruity and sweet flavour with red apples. This beer sold out on the first day of Karakterbierweekend 2004 in Vichte before I had tasted it, but fortunately they went to the brewery to get some more.

Orange beer with a dense off white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with a faint alcohol note. Malty and yeasty flavor, light spicy with some apricot fruityness. Dry finish. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JUL 17, 2006
Bottled. Fresh fruity citric aroma. Clear, dark yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Light sweet, light citrus, bitter, light peach, soft. The aroma is refreshing but it doesn’t taste refreshing. That’s really a downpoint i.m.o.. charlotte (5386) - rødovre, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2008
