Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours hazy amber with a huge frothy head, that lasts through the session. The arome is sweet from the yeast, oranges. It’s a lovely smell. The taste is malty and peppery from the hops, tasty but a tad too hoppy for me. It’s a great beer, classic Contreras stuff. bdunhill (255) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 16, 2014
This blond is not characteristic of most blondes, it comes in with midl aroma and an non distinct appearance. But the first taste has a smoky flavour, but doesn’t linger (as that wouldn’t be nice). Delicious, distinctive and enjoyable! fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Bottle. Aroma of floral, herbal, and spicy notes, seemingly all from hops, and complex, light grain notes. Flavor brings in some citrus but again focuses in on wheat, hay, grass, as well as some clove, pepper, and nutty/earthy yeasty notes. Finishes with a spice and apricot kick. Really nice stuff. Orange hazy brew with flakes of yeast swimming inside the bottle. Absolutely lovely to look at in the glass and the taste is in perfect balance of spicey sweet orangey fruits with delicious and carefully added hops. fogdoctor (41) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2010 Cold in a pint glass. Massive head but does not linger. A little over carbonated but has a nice spicy (citrus) / yeasty taste. Its quite a bit better than its aroma, which is fairly weak and has faint floral character. I really like the tase after it warms up some and the mouth feel is quite rich. Its a nice Belgian Ale, although not among the best. Additionally, for a moderate ABV it has a nice warming sensation thats is very pleasant.

Very nice hazy ornage piur, with a big white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, yeast, light bready malts, and some great soft sugar. Flavor is quite balanced between sweet, and bitter. Lovely carbonation, with a great tropical fruit aftertaste. Incredibly easy drinking, and a wonderful summertime patio beer. Zingao (15) - SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2013
Really liked this one. Bright yellow but with a cloudy appearance. Tastes of citrus and bread. Some hints of cellar. Really nice foam top. Soft carbonation complements the flavours. A joy to drink. ChainGangGuy (4894) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - FEB 22, 2010
Appearance: Pours out a rather hazy body the colored of washed out gold and capped with a small, fine, white head.
Smell: Valeir displays a well-spiced nose from the very get-go, along with modest notes of crispy-crusted bread, sliced orchard apples, lemon peels, and meadow flowers.
Taste: Lightly bready, lightly sweet maltiness with a touch of graininess to it. Little pinch of zested lemon, just enough to add a bit of bright citrus character. The lemon eventually gives way to a taste of apples, which soon gives way to a piquant spiciness akin to anise or even fennel. Slight floral accents perk up now and again. Moderate amount of carbonation on the spicy, drying finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Active, medium-high carbonation provides more than a bit of tingle for the tongue.
Drinkability: It was a good BPA. Valeir brings some spice, some malt, some fruit and a light effervescence together for an easy drinking beer. Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 11, 2011
courtesy of Doeschi - hazy dark blond beer under a persistent white foam; yeasty and fruity aroma (pear and apple); full-bodied and oily; some sweetness and pretty tasty; a hint of acidity and a solid bitterness; very long yeasty and fruity hoppy finish - pretty nice Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 26, 2012
Bottle at home, from Glouglouburp, served in my Minneapolis Town Hall glass. Pours cloudy deep orange with a greenish cast. Thick white head that laces well. Nose is green apple, fresh bread, estery with some barnyard and hay. Very gentle in the nose. Flavours are round and creamy - almost brioche-like in texture, and the low hop bitterness is a pleasant surprise. Nice barnyardy fruit, cream, and hay, with a long, creamy, and lightly spicy finish. I could drink this all day!
