UPDATED: APR 14, 2013 33cl bottle at BXL East. Pours slightly cloudy, pale golden yellow color with a small head. Lovely beer, aroma and taste of yeast and fruit and hops. Incredibly well balanced. Highly drinkable. rondphoto (4494) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Cloudy dirty blond with a smooth full head that has good retention, curtains of fine lace. Taste begins with a bracing caramel malt that has a nice carbonation edge; grows through the palate, warming and changing to a smooth, lingering butter rum finish. Complex, balanced, good-tasting Belgian Blond. High recommendation. PalCabral (162) - SWEDEN - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours hazy amber with a huge frothy head, that lasts through the session. The arome is sweet from the yeast, oranges. It’s a lovely smell. The taste is malty and peppery from the hops, tasty but a tad too hoppy for me. It’s a great beer, classic Contreras stuff. bdunhill (255) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAR 16, 2014
This blond is not characteristic of most blondes, it comes in with midl aroma and an non distinct appearance. But the first taste has a smoky flavour, but doesn’t linger (as that wouldn’t be nice). Delicious, distinctive and enjoyable! fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2009
Bottle. Aroma of floral, herbal, and spicy notes, seemingly all from hops, and complex, light grain notes. Flavor brings in some citrus but again focuses in on wheat, hay, grass, as well as some clove, pepper, and nutty/earthy yeasty notes. Finishes with a spice and apricot kick. Really nice stuff.
