UPDATED: SEP 25, 2005 Light orange color, hazy. Hoparoma, somewhat dusty with vanilla. Sweetish, very hoppy flavor, almost creamy with vanilla. Great quality beer, not as deep and complex as Contreras Mars, but with a very fine taste.
Tap, Café de Engel Oldenzaal. Malty aroma. Malty sweet buttery flavor, with loads of mango and peach. Lemon and vanilla. Hopbitterness comes up and persists in the aftertaste. Lovely! Fin (10542) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2007 Bottle, Palace Hotel, Poperinge, West Flanders, Belgium, 26-06-07 Amber in colour with a slight haze, large head, some soft caramel flavours, quite spicey, nice beer. notalush (5878) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2009
33cl bottle - pours a cloudy gold, a substantial, lasting, frothy head - complex, earthy nose, with notes of herbs, wildflowers, spicy hops, lemon zest, white pepper, wheat, light funk and acidity - spicy, hoppy and herbal up front - this is followed by some wheat, tangy citrus, wet grass/hay - some husky character - gains a little bit of sweetness near the finish, which is tempered by warming spices and a light peppery quality - there are better belgian ales out there, but this is quite solid. pompelmoes (89) - BELGIUM - NOV 27, 2009
Golden blond beer with nice with head. Aroma is slight spicey with floral hints of hops and malts. Taste is malty with a citrus touch, it has some spices and some yeasty notes. It end with a peppery touch of hops and some fruits.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas in Bruxelles. Very easy to drink beer, light and fruity. Not too much persistent froth, and a little bit floral. Pale and cloudy and frothy. Very pleasant to drink also if associated with cheeses. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 22, 2011
A gentle, lasting white film remains over the cloudy, opaque golden shade. Pleasantly yeasty, floral and spicy ale with a fun honeyed biscuity maltiness + honest fresh pils malt extraction all akin to the grain bill of a maibock. Fresh tasting and moderately hoppy, its Belgianesque carbonation is engaging and fitting the general dryness. Kinda green and rustic, it’s another pleasant surprise in that Valeir lineup - simple and most effective beers that are most undeniably Belgian, but drier than average and refreshing. Bottle (not sure, might be draught) @ Moeder Lambic. Very yellow to orange colour with a vast white head. Smells mandarine, fruity, refreshing. Tastes as i expected from the smell. This beer would be best enjoyed during the summer, outside and when it’s warm. turbothy (1141) - Bonn, GERMANY - MAR 19, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a moderate head. Floral hop aroma. Nice and fresh flavour; one of the most hoppy Belgians I’ve had in a while. Very pleasant if slightly over-carbonated beer. tderoeck (9735) - Gent, BELGIUM - OCT 5, 2012
