Pours a soft hazy gold with a one figner crackly white head. Nose is earthy wit notes of spice and peach skin, mildly phenolic with hints of alcohol and Belgian yeast esters. Flavor is spicy and sharp, yeasty with hints of alcohol, soft fruit, earthy. Sharp palate and a tad spicy with a pleasant carbonation.

Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Bottle from Binnys Beverage Depot, Orland Park, IL: This poured a lightly hazed yellow/gold body with a modest creamy head that coated the glass with gobs of lace. The aroma had pink grapefruit and tangerine over soft nectarines. The flavor added a citrus peel bitterness at the midpoint that lasted well into the dry finish. Nice.

Boutip (6212) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 1, 2011
Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with large foamy head with nice thick foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light fruity ester with nice semi-sweet Belgian malt base. Taste is an easily drinkable mix between some semi-sweet Belgian style malt with light fruity ester and light floral notes. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well done for style with great drinkability factor.

bartlebier (3815) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 7, 2013
33cl bottles - Smooth and slightly spicy, with typical but not all too heavy Belgian yeastiness and a relieving low ABV for a Belgian ale. Creamy, sweetish yet dry, well-balanced and very drinkable - and yet oddly, the least remarkable - most traditional in the impressive Valeir range (modern atkes on typical Belgian taste profiles) by Contreras so far.
