Drake (13637) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 5, 2011
11.2 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. VA. Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a large froth white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big fruity notes, including pineapple, other tropical fruit notes, citrus, and some toasted grain. The taste is sweet bready notes, candi sugar, banana, citrus and other fruits, a bit of spice and bubblegum. Medium-full bodied. Nice beer.

Frank (4172) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2011
This is a slightly hazed golden beer w/ a big foamy head. Sweet banana hits the nose first and is followed up w/ some delicate floral notes, a bit of cut grass and a bit of gypsum board sawdust. This is strikingly bitter when it first hits the palate, sort of green and earthy to the extent where it initially seems to drown out whatever else is going on. Similarly, the initial bit of carbonation on the tongue seems a bit strong but as you ease your way into the beer, it reveals a creamy back end that is really works well. Some sweet citrus notes come out with a bit of banana and a slight herbal note. This might not stand up to the very best of the style but it is a damn decent tripel.

KyotoLefty (10193) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 19, 2010
330 ml bottle. Citrus and honey malt aroma, spicy, ok hops, grass. Golden with orange and a tall, fluffy head. Sweet, fruity flavor, bready, with honey and citrus. Quite spicy, with cinnamon and quite a lot of ginger. Spice is a bit much. Light bitterness. interesting tripel, but a bit too heavy, sweet, and spicy.

meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2010
[email protected] Very sweet, lightly oxidized, lots of cookie dough, light bitterness. Full and thick but nasty mouth feel. Unbalanced and off-flavoured.

basspro76 (426) - New York, USA - OCT 7, 2010
Poured into a sniffer glass from the bottle. Pours a hazy hay orange body. Aromas of yeast, malt, little bit of spice, little bit of fruit. Flavor is a nice dry fruit and yeast flavor up front that fades into a barely noticable hop finish.

bhensonb (15079) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours hazy gold with a foamy 4 finger off-white head. Strong spice aroma. More veg than pepper. Suggestions of kandi. Medium body with very foamy carbonation. Flavor is light malt with a strong spice/pepper flavor. Smells veg, tastes pepper. There’s a lingering sweetness throughout. Lightly so. Finishes pretty balanced. Sugar and pepper to be crude. There’s a lot going on in this one.

altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - SEP 10, 2010
On tap at Moeder Lambic. Bold yellow with tall head. Popcorn nose. Nice taste of fruits, gember, oranges and malts. Very smooth and clean. Enjoyable.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 29, 2010
Bottled. Poured near-clear, lighter golden with a well-retained, stark white head.. fine lacing followed it down. The aroma picked up warm medium-skinned fruit, crusty French bread, and a pinch of honey accented by white pepper and dried floral notes.. well-balanced and intriguing. The flavor found more of the honey at the core, retaining some of the fruits.. rather tacky on the edges with more fruit, dry peppery notes, and more floral stuff.. a measure of warmth stuck on the finish, accenting a muddled blend of fruits and spices.. really tangy by the end. Medium-bodied on the palate, and the carbonation level really filled up the mouth.. sharper and not all that pleasant at the back. This was a solid but unremarkable tripel.

blipp (9124) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 28, 2010
Bottle. Pours gold with a fluffy white head. Floral and sweet aroma with some pale malty notes. The flavor has some nice fruity and floral notes with a light spiciness. Decent.
