COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
During the British Colonial Times, the English exported beer to India. To preserve the beer for a longer period, extra-hopped beers were produced (hops maintain natural preservation and add bitterness to the beer).

Flaska 75 cl systembolaget. Lätt disig ljusorange kulör med stort fluffigt vitt skum. Kryddig och pepprig doft med mycket citrus och skal från dessa. Örtig smak med gräs och passionsfrukt. Hög beska och aningen sträv. Fin balans

ramboraffe (2256) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 13, 2015
Sample at RBScSG. Hazy yellow with white head. Spicy yeasty peppery with earthy and fruity hops. Some sour unripe fruit and citrus freshness. Semi dry with low to medium bitterness and high carbonation. A bit like a ipa saison hybrid.

Mad_Ferret (1019) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 28, 2015
750ml bottle from SB. Hazy orange colour, big off white head that lace. Nice sweet hoppy aroma with some candy like belgo yeast. Grapefruit, oranges, floral, lychee, cookie dough and lemon toffee. Nice and summery hoppy with a floral and slight tropical grapefruit/sweet oranges taste. Some sweet belgo yeast in the flavour as well. Some slight alcohol warmth. Balanced, or maybe a tad too mild, sezty bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. This is a good belgian IPA. Bitterness could have put up more of a fight, but then again it seems to have been bottled already in february? It's good though still.

SamTheBarrel (804) - Vallentuna, SWEDEN - JUN 25, 2015
750ml brown bottle poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Appearance is cloudy amber with a medium sized foamy off-white head that when reduced, left a little lacing. Aroma of mango, grapefruit, pineapple and orange peels. Flavours of mango, orange peels, grapefruit, lemon zest, caramel and wheat bread. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Contreras Valeir Extra is a great IPA, good balance between malts and hop flavours.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, average to large and mostly lasting head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel with light tropical - floral fruitiness, light citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and faint fruitiness, light citrus/herbal hoppyness, light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and dryish lightly sweetish, light caramel and faint fruitiness, light - some citrus/herbal hoppyness, light - some alcohol. Bit "boozy" strong ale with sharp bitterness. Not really an IPA. Nice head though.
