Bottled, 500ml from Asda in Queensferry, Flintshire, Wales. Dark brown with cream head. The beer is quite full and roasty from the start, particularly from considering the ABV. Some fruity sweetness, but also a roasted coffee husk character, lasting and moving towards bitterness. Really quite a decent modern type of mild with an earthy hopped edge. Good.
