Bottle. Dark mahogany brown with a little head. Aroma is mainly coffee with a little fruit. The flavour is quite special, it almost seems to come in waves; first coffee and chocolate, then malt and then a nice fruit finish. Really complex and interesting mild. undercurrent25 (2142) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2013

Bottle. Dark brown but quite transparent. Some maltiness and a good body considering its strength. Some milds are quite straightforward but this has quite a lot of complexity. Recommended. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 27, 2012
Nice malty and easy drinking mild. Didn’t get much liquorice in this, but very much a quenching beer, and moreish. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2008

Aroma of dried fruit, spice and a hint of roastiness. Flavour began with some caramel, before preserved fruits, cinnamon and a bitter finish.
