Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Raratonga. Sweetish start followed by a pronounced marmaladey finish. Brandyish flavours inbetween. Unusual and drinkable.

Man, they brew beer everywhere, huh? My brother brought me back a bottle of this brew about 7 years ago. While it's not really noteworthy, it is a decent drinking beer. Who knew the Cook Isles were into brewing?

Bottle received as part of a Christmas present. Pours yellow/gold with a white head. Smells of dry malt, some appley notes, touches of pepper. Tastes dry with a decent malty character and a peppery finish. Refreshing enough as a summer sipper and light years ahead of the Sol.

Pale straw colour. Lots of haylike hops in the aroma. Light, fizzy body. Sulphur, straw and haylike flavours with a hint of bitterness. Step above average macro, but that’s it.

Draught at various locations on Rarotonga. Clear golden colour, brief head. Grassy nose, sometimes with some strawberry jam added. Sweet with papery maltiness and pleasantly soft mouthfeel. Low to medium bitterness. While this brewers beers aren’t very adventurous at least they try to sell them with being made from good ingredients and being produced with extra care. A respectable tropical lager.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, deep golden with a rough, off-white head. Discreet aroma of lightly sweet malt. Medium body, sweet, bready - almost caramelish - notes. Some nuts in there as well. And Scotch?? Subdued bitterness. I believe this has gotten a bit old, but it’s actually still quite drinkable. Reminds me of Newcastle Brown.... Courtesy of Bov. 270207

<!-- i --> Bottled. Thanks omhper. <!-- /i --> Muddy pale yellow. Sweetish nose, with honey pastilles. Flavour: Sweetish adjuncts with no hop profile. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Not at all bad.

baraciisch (3371) - California, USA - APR 16, 2011
Only brewery in the Cook Islands, actually walked by the brewery but didn’t go in cuz it looked really desolate... Mundane lager, not very crisp or enjoyable, but drinkable...

joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2006
Bottle, Thanks to Rick for sharing. Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Sweet aroma of malts and corn. Flavour of malts, corn and caramel.
