Bottle thanks to Chris Schneider.
Appearance - deep amber with a nice head.
Nose - toffee and apples.
Taste - toffee and prunes this time.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long tangy finish. Perhaps a little sweet.
Overall - nice beer even if not particularly for this style. BenH (3439) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 20, 2015
Bottle. Dark amber with tan head. Aroma is sharp, dried fruit, belgian yeast, dates. Taste of tastes, toffee, belgium yeast. Little sweet and slighty bitter. McNeillR (2322) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 20, 2015
Clear ruby red, ringed sandy head. Pruney toffee nose, odd sweetness. Initial taste is smoothly sweet, building to a cherry cola stickiness. Smooth and rich, not overly cloying and a bit spicy/prickly towards the finish. Lean chestnut, brassy bitter but lacking a really rich punch. cgarvieuk (24793) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 20, 2015

From bottle. Dark grape colored pour. Rich, stout-like aroma of roast and chocolate. I wouldn’t have placed this in the Belgian category, but it was tasty and easy to drink. decaturstevo (6249) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 22, 2014
Deep amber almost brown pour with no head. Aroma is sweet brown sugar and light Belgian yeast. Very sweet malt start and a touch o bitter on the finish. Medium full body with good carbonation. Nice beer
