COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A straightforward malt body supports the distinctive bouquet of Columbus and Falconers Flight hops that impart citrus, grapefruit and pine notes characteristic of the West Coast style. F5 is a belligerent hop reckoning.

Average IPA. Citrus and barley aroma. Light amber color. Low head with average carbonation. Good lacing that remained in the glass. Nice up front hop presence that lingered and added a dry finish. Needed more balance and the alcohol was well hidden. Good to drink with a burger.

Poured from a 12 oz can with a March 01, 2017 date. Aroma is fairly malt forward with lots of light caramel, biscuit and cracker malt notes. Moderate grapefruit and pine notes from hops with a hint of alcohol. Pours a somewhat hazy, copper orange with a medium large, thick, white head that exhibits good retention as it slowly recedes. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly sweet upfront with some caramel and biscuit malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness with a bit of a bite to it. Some grapefruit and pine resin hop notes. Lingering bitterness, caramel and pine resin. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a very good IPA. The malt profile is way too prevalent with too much caramel malt. The hop profile is fairly one dimensional and old fashioned as well. Im glad IPAs have moved away form this hop profile.

Great aroma, citrus hops. Columbus hops steal the show here. Nice pine and citrus taste in this one. Pretty good west coast style ipa. Drinkable. Would get again.

Maybe a bit of an old can? The Falconer is lost in this beer, and it is one of my favorite brewing hops so I held high hopes for this. Malt has a heavy hand.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma with light tropical fruit. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light mineral. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light mineral notes.

Pours a golden color. Pretty cloudy, lots of stuff floating around. Not real well carbonated. About one finger or so bone colored head. Pretty thick head. Good retention, nice lacing.

Aroma is pretty straight forward. Pine, citrus, citrus peel, hops. Very hop forward, not as malty as most IPAs. Citrus is light, citrus peel is a little heavier. Maybe some tangerine. Not really picking up the grapefruit.

Taste is mostly earthy. Pine, but not so much resin. Citrus, but more zest than actual citrus. A little wheat bread, maybe some pepper. Its not bitter up front, most of the bitter comes after the swallow. A little spicy.

Mouthfeel is actually medium body. It "should" be closer to heavy. But as such, its surprisingly easy to drink. Has long finish. Its also soft and a little creamy. Its very dry.

Overall, its a fine IPA. Could be a little heavier, maybe a little more carbonation. The more I drink, the more bitter it gets. Yes, I would drink/buy it again, and I would recommend it. Its good, but seriously theres so many good IPAs out there, and it doesnt stand out a whole lot from the others. But it IS worth a try.

Poured from a growler to an insulated cup while bbqing some ribs for labor day. This is a solid IPA and works well with the heat.

Tap at WoB. Pours a clear copper color. Light amount of carbonation. Big hoppy nose. Citrus, resin, pine. Bitter hops upfront. Dried leaves, Sap, pine needles and sweetness. Finishes very dry and hoppy bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Much better than I expected. Nice kick of fruity hops right out of the can. Clear, golden and bright, ok off white head. Peaches, pine, mango, and grapefruit mix. The taste is clean, hoppy, crisp, and super easy going down.
