COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A straightforward malt body supports the distinctive bouquet of Columbus and Falconers Flight hops that impart citrus, grapefruit and pine notes characteristic of the West Coast style. F5 is a belligerent hop reckoning.

Little haze to a light gold pour, finger of head. Nose is tropical. Bitter. Middle is caramel, medium malt, mango. Finish is malty and bitter, the best of both worlds.

Got in a BIF from jdell15. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/27/2017. Pours slightly hazy golden/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearane. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol for 7.1%. Overall this is fantastic IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very vibrant and dank hops; great bready malt backbone with no residual sweetness. Never overly aggressive. Perfectly balanced citrus/tropical Falconers Flight and dank/piney Columbus hop character. A highly enjoyable offering.

Poured out of the CAN. Slightly hazy golden brew with a thick head. Smells and taste is lots of citrus, grapefruit. Truly a great brew but had to get it in the CAN so overall points lost.

This beer blew me away, it was from a somewhat unknown brewery to me but the flavor of this IPA was outrageous. Get it if you can ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can to pint - pours a nice gold, resilient ivory colored head. Tons of resin and rich florals on the nose, notes of caramel. A hair slick on the tongue, I wanted it to be meatier, pretty good taste though, the malts shine and a pine, bitter hop finish lingers pleasantly with a flash of funk. It’s pretty good.
