COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gran Sport is a robust porter marked by its finesse and distinct malt backbone. Aromatic notes of chocolate and roasted coffee compliment the full-bodied mouthfeel derived from a healthy addition of oat flakes. Dark. Roasty. Malty. Splendid.

An ok porter. Medium bodied with a dense roasty character. Chocolatey with light coffee notes. Tried with Jess at Yiayias after the Omaha-Lincoln ride in 2016.

Can. A- Chocolate syrup, roasty. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Chocolate milk, roasty, cream, malty, subtle bitter coffee. P- Full body, thin creamy texture, medium carbonation, watery finish. O- This was good and bad. Unlike most porters I’ve had and a ton like many sweet stouts I’ve had. This was as close to drinking chocolate milk as I’ve ever had in a beer.

500ml can (thanks Anna’s daddy). Very very dark brown color. Small size, tan head, stays. Very malty, sweet, nice roast, hints of coffee in aroma. Very nice roast, chocolate, milky, grainy, sweet in taste. Lovely chocolaty roast in aftertaste. Nice crisp mouthfeel. Fantastic brew!

500ml can (Beertopia, Omaha) - thanks Frank!
Lovely soft chocolate cakey roasty aroma, such a contrast to the previous harsh IPA, this is putting a smile back on my face. Nice dark brown, tan head. Lovely lovely rich roast, stops me in the middle of my sentence. Absolutely lovely porter, love the cakey chocolate roastiness. So mellow and it relaxes me as I drink it. This is what porters should be like, and this is why I love US porters, it must be the grains they use - oatmeal added? And I’m jealous. Finish has quite a dryness to it, and gets burnter and burnter with each glug, but nothing that doesn’t leave you thirsty for more.

Who knew Prairie aren’t the only ones brewing tasty beers in OK? (Actually I see I had another fine porter from Tulsa a few years ago so apparently I should have already known that.) Smooth and creamy with plenty of chocolate and coffee and a bit of char.

6 oz pour from chilled bottle into shaker pint. Black and opaque with a moderate off-white head. Roast nose with some caramel. Medium body. A little thin and dry. Roasty coffee notes with lots of dark malt, some caramel, and a little wood. Decent porter, though a little weak for my taste.
