This has got to be the best 4% APA out there. That’s not exactly a compliment, but it’s not an insult either. This is way better than it has any right to be- good citrus and resin up front, lively carbonation, and a very clean finish. Look, it’s 4%, so the trade off for being about to drink good quality beer all day is that’s necessary going to be a little watery for some of the 2x IPA crowd. I hear that. But it’s pretty perfect for its’ intended purpose- an easy drinking summer session APA.

Bonus point for the nifty label art. Lightly pale gold. Citrus and gas. Goes down easy.

Pours a slightly tinted straw yellow. Aroma of apples, grass. Very thin, almost watery on the tongue... Very fresh though, cereal and florals. Like the abv, everything about this beer is expectedly subdued. Good keg beer at a tailgate.

On tap at Q39 in KCMO. Clear golden appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of zesty hops, lemon peel, mild floral notes and light toasted grain. Similar flavor, adding mild citrus hop bitterness and a light malt sweetness. Light, balanced and easy to drink.

Pours a semi cloudy, hazy golden color. Aggressive pour yields about two fingers thick white head. Pretty good retention, light lacing.

Aroma is citrus and grapefruit, orange zest. A little bit crackery. It’s actually smells kinda juicy. A touch of pine.

Taste is cracked. Good citrus Taste. Orange zest, orange, maybe some lemon. Light orange pith.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied. Smooth, easy drinking. A little dry. Pretty watery.

Overall, this is what craft beer is all about. It’s low in ABV, but man, it packs the flavor. If only they had a higher ABV version of this....This is quite good, and I would drink it again, buy it again, recommend it also.

Found a random 16 oz can. Canned 11/03/16, so pretty fresh. Clear orange pour with an off-white head. Light citrus and grass on the nose. Subtle but pleasant. Flavor is the same. A bit thin-bodied, but quite crushable at the same time. Enjoyed it.

A very nice pale ale. Malty with a sharp bitterness. Some piney aroma, a little citrus in the aftertaste.
