UPDATED: MAR 7, 2010 Bottle. Surprisingly ok. Trying it because the bottle shop selection was pretty thin, but this is quite a nice, hoppy and refreshing, but overly sweet. Did manage to remind me of Czech.

Bottle enjoyed during a holiday in Australia. Backlog rating from bottle collection and historic scoring. Source not recorded. Tasting notes not kept, just rating.

355ml bottle. I thought this was pretty fair. Swigged from bottle so can’t comment on appearance. Standard but not bad pilsin my book. Gentle lemon citrus flavours, some grassy hop and pale malt. A little grainy but mostly clean. Light-bodied, a little thin perhaps but crisp and refreshing with medium carbonation and a short, soft intensity hop bitterness to finish.

355ml bottle looks smells tastes like a cheap Euro pale lager the aroma & flavour is mostly grain & straw quite dry lightly bitter was expecting so much more pretty crap overall

From a 355ml bottle on 8/2/2015. Pours an ultra clear light golden with a small head. Has an unimpressive nose featuring light grain. In the mouth, it’s similarly uninspiring - sweet malt, grain, corn and the barest hint of bitterness. A bit rich for them to call this a pilsener. It’s very much comes across as a standard pale lager. Thin body and average carbonation. I’m a bit of an advocate for Cooper’s ordinarily, but this is not worth defending. Pretty poor effort from a pretty good brewery.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2015 355ml bottle into schooner glass. Sweet malt nose. Light amber with sudsy head. Taste is clean, watery. Aftertaste is bitter minerals. Promises a lot but doesn’t deliver.

From a bottle. Pours a very pale yellow, tiny head, almost ciderish aroma, very crisp palate, refreshing and worth a try.

Morboso (146) - AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2015 Re visited, pretty inoffensive except for maybe the aroma - "wheat chaff" comes to mind with a hint of the coopers yeast. Bit overcarbonated, bit of mineral water, bit of bitterness

Bottle. Pretty standard pilsner. Biscuit malt driven and very light. Another main stream pils, prefer there pale ale.

varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 17, 2014
Pale gold pour with no head. Aroma - mostly malt, no other aroma to speak of. Taste is just malty, sweet, very plain. Disappointing
