COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

Pours very dark black with a nice tan head and tons of sea monkeys running up and down in it. My wife actually said when she saw it Yuck you are going to drink that? I said but of course mate in my best Crocodile Dundee imitation. The aroma is chocolate and coffee. The flavor is very malty some chocolate and coffee. Bitter on the back side. Feels good on the palate a little buttery and not too thick but thick enough to stick with you. Very good beer if you can get past the sea monkeys! I’m a fan Mate and I’ll drink it again.

Aroma of chocolate, cofee with light alcohol notes. Extrem black color, yeast clots, small brown head. Medium to full bodied, velvety, fresh flavor, strong yeast notes. Medium coffee and roasted malt note, exspecialy in the end.

Dark, sweet, and delicious. Slightly bitter in the finish and a little on the thin side, but it does have some good offerings of chocolate, coffee, and spices. I’d drink again.

Pours black with little head. Aroma is sweet caramel and butterscotch. This isn’t thick at all - it is actually quite light bodied. A smoky saltiness leads to a bitter coffee finish. A pretty average stout.

Pours a handsome dark brown with a nice dark beige head. Very pleasant sherry aroma. Roasted and malty, a bit thin mouthfeel.

Bottle. Faint aroma of caramel. Fruity flavor with some caramel. Not very roasted, but nice nonetheless. Thin mouth feel, and too carbonated.

Chocolate malty stout. little hoppy. very carbonated even after letting sit. sorta what youd expect of austrailain beer. very strong at first but weaker on the backside.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2005 Dark pour with thick but little foam. Deep, musty, semi-sweet chocolaty taste. Well balanced and smooth drinking. Soft and relatively light for a stout, but I enjoyed it. Good to turn non-stout drinkers on to the genre. [$9.99/6pk]

goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - MAR 16, 2005
Poured a light black color. Malty sweet aroma with some fruit. A little crisp apples. Roasted flavors and a light bitter finish that ran the same length as the malt finish. Mild alcohol taste at the end. Light and smooth.
