COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

Black, chocolate coloured head is agoraphobic. Very pleasant, slight roasty flavour profile. Aroma reminds me of other foreign stouts I have had. The palate is pretty watery and is the biggest downfall of this beer. Thanks GregClow.

Dark brown, almost black color, malty coffee aroma, smooth bitter taste, sediment floating around in it, medium body, smooth finish.

Bottle. Very dark oily pour with no real head to speak of. Nose is very mild. Flavor notes are: roasted malt, raisin, LOTS of smoke (the smoke taste really grabs you), and a little bit of hops bitterness (but not much). The mouthfeel is a little slick, but that does not detract from the beer. The finish is very nice and smooth with just a little bitter bite. This is an excellent stout and would be a perfect session beer. If I had to pick out one thing to compain about, it would be that this beer is overall very mild. I usualy expect a little more of a bite from a stout. I wish I had bought more than one of these.

Black coloured. Mild. Malty and roasty. Coffee in the aroma and in the flavour. Smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits. Jet black, very small head. Liqueur coffee aroma. Rather tasty: a mixture of flavours, including acidic coffee notes. Grainy and fizzy on the tongue, with a an overall sweet oatiness. Jellybean finish.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one, as I wasn’t expecting much. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Smooth, yet bold. I recommend this one.

Black with brown long lasting head. Coffee, chocolate, malt and faint hints of licorice nose. Pretty good really.

Pours black with a small off-white head. Fairly thick beer, smooth and coats your mouth. Roasted chocolate aroma. Taste is chocolaty leaving a nice sweet aftertaste.

Bottled. Very smoky aroma to this thick black beer with absolutely no head. The taste is roasty, stouty and yeasty. An enjoyable stout but brewed a bit ’safe’
