From the bottle in an Australian pub in Breda, NL. The aroma contains coffee, roasted malts, sweet chocolate. It tastes medium sweet and medium bitter with a long roasted finish. Oily to watery texture and soft carbonation. Rather sweet for a stout.

Pours very dark brown from the bottle and leaves a frothy tan head that soon fades. The aroma is a shifting mix of chocolate, coffee, burnt toast and nail polish. Taste is grainy, burnt bread, roasted coffee. Overall a lightly warming bitterness inflected by an astringent tang carries the day. The brew has a rich, creamy feel in the mouth. Interesting in a not always pleasing manner.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso riconosce liquirizia e caffè. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma dal colore marrone castagno ha una buona tenuta, è persistente, con schiuma presente e dalla lunga persistenza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine e la carbonazione è media. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato. Il dolce è medio in buon equilibrio con l’amaro medio. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di facile beva. Il finale è pulito e dissetante. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato arrivano sentori di caramello, miele, caffè, liquirizia e frutta secca.

roasty, grass, leather, smoke, woody, black, sparkling, brown foam, heavy cloying sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, creamy, average carbonation, astringent, medium body, Bière très noire avec une odeur de fumé très forte, pas bcp de mousse, pas trop pétillante mais ce goût de fumé, limite brulé avec un à arrière goût de café noir.

En bouteille 37,5cl. Aspect : noire à mousse brune et bulles moyennes. Nez : fruits noirs ou confits (cerise, raisin, pruneau, ), porto, boisé, malt rôti ... Bouche : légèrement pétillante et "piquante", goûts café, fruits, amertume moyenne. Pas mal non plus sur ce continent mais j’ai vu (bu) mieux ; la bière me semble moins équilibrée que d’autres stouts déjà testées.

Nagy, szürkésbarna, hosszú hab, fekete szín. Csokis, aszalt gyümölcsös illatok. Csokis, aszalt gyümölcsös ízvilág, hajszálnyi kávés aromával. Enyhén száraz és keserű, közepesen testes és szénsavas. Jól összerakott, kellemes sör.

- tiefschwarze Farbe mit leichter, schnell zerfallender Schaumbildung - gut wahrnehmbare Aromen nach Malz, Bitterschokolade, Espresso, Rosinen und Rauch - für meinen Geschmack eine etwas zu sprudelige Carbonisierung für ein Stout - der Antrunk ist intensivst geprägt von den rauchigen Röstmalzen - im Mittelteil kommt dann die Bitternis in Verbindung mit einer zarten Lakritznote stärker zum Vorschein - der Abgang wird dann richtig schön staubtrocken mit einer leichten Kamin- assoziation Fazit: Tolles Stout mit einem Ticken zuviel Kohlensäure

Czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Piana beżowa, drobna. Ale pojawiają się większe pęcherze. Zostawia ślady na szkle. Aromat lekko palony, kawowy. Nie jest bardzo intensywny. lekka nuta kojarząca się z laktozą. Jest gorzkawy. W smaku wytrawne i lekko kwaskowe.

Mild and bitter aroma. Black in colour with moderate brown head. Rich chocolate and coffee taste, with a hint of that Copper’s signature metallic taste. Approachable, crowd pleasing stout.
