COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Brewed naturally using a top fermentation method, Coopers Stout’s unique rich, dark texture comes from specially roasted black malt.

375mL bottles from Dan Murphy's. Best after 17/9/17. Appearance: Black body. Tan head which quickly disappeared. 3 Aroma: Chocolate, toasted malt. 7 Taste: Roast malt, dark chocolate. Moderate bitterness. Semi-dry beer with "foreign extra" notes. 7 Palate: Shockingly watery and thin. 2 Overall: Nice roasty stout but plagued by overcarbonation. I got 24 bottles from Dan Murphy's for $48.50 which makes it one of the best value beers. 15

Butelka 0,33 l. Zakupiona na Wishbeer w Bangkoku. Barwa czarna, nie przejrzysta. Aromat czekoladowy, troche kawy.

0.375 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before October 2018. Black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee and some licorice. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee and some licorice, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy-dry and a little metallic finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from a Melbourne Coles Liqourland. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty caramel malt, chocolate, coffee, liqourice, dry hop. The flavour is liqourice bitter with a roasty, dry smoke, charcoal liqourice palate and a dry liqourice bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Better than the aged version IMO.

Pours a gorgeous dark brown color with a perfectly 1 inch thick head into a tulip glass. Aroma is chocolate, licorice, warm spices, dark fruit, earthy, very roasty. Taste is dry chocolate up front with a smooth dark red fruit/berry note in the middle finished with a great slightly drying bitter note. Overall a fairly drinkable beer with pleasant roasty fall/winter flavors.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2017 375ml. bottle in Mae Kasa, Thailand. Pours a deep, dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of dark fruit and roasted malt. Taste of malt/barley, some sweetness. Less bitterness than most stouts and therefore interesting.
