A pitch black beer with a fine chocolate brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of coffee, chocolate, and malt. The flavor is of sweet coffee with strong notes of malt and chocolate. A great flavor in a great beer - I want one more...

Pitch black with a medium thick tan head. Roasted malt aroma, also some licourice and a bit smokey. Malty and a little roasted flavor. Hints of chocolate and licourice too. Doesn’t feel like 6.3 %. A lovely stout.

oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2005
Bottled. Black opaque colour, small brown head. Roasted malt, some caramellish hints in aroma. Oat, caramel and weak roasted malt in flavour. Some chocolate found too. Kind of watery palate for a stout, but ok otherwise.

5 year old bottle. Almost opaque dark brown beer, few tan bubbles not forming a head. Palate is light and has fine minerally carbonation. Mild and slightly thin dark malts, just a very light touch of roast. Light touches of tangy dark chocolate and dark fruits. Light dry finish. Surprisingly no oxidisation.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2005 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Almost black - almost. Nice but rather limited head. Dry and bitter but actually very drinkable considering it’s strength. Only medium body. 161004
