Now here’s a beer with punch. Coopers Stout is a beacon for lovers of a hearty brew. With its robust flavour comprising a blend of fruit, chocolate and hop bitter notes it’s everything a stout should be. Very easy drinking. A chocolate assault on the nose, then down the hatch and it’s smooth and light chocolate all the way, although finish is maybe a bit more cocoa than chocolate. Hides it’s 6.3% well until a very slight warming at the end. Much, much better than I was expecting.

Bottle from a Melbourne Coles Liqourland. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty caramel malt, chocolate, coffee, liqourice, dry hop. The flavour is liqourice bitter with a roasty, dry smoke, charcoal liqourice palate and a dry liqourice bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Better than the aged version IMO.

Pours a gorgeous dark brown color with a perfectly 1 inch thick head into a tulip glass. Aroma is chocolate, licorice, warm spices, dark fruit, earthy, very roasty. Taste is dry chocolate up front with a smooth dark red fruit/berry note in the middle finished with a great slightly drying bitter note. Overall a fairly drinkable beer with pleasant roasty fall/winter flavors.

From old tasting notes. Black brown color. Thick creamy tan head. Spicy roasted malt nose. Rich sweet roasted chocolate malt flavor. Overly sweet, yet drinkable.

Strong but lacking the bite or flavour of a strong beer. Some liquorice but otherwise slightly bland and watery. I’d take it over many other beers though

Botella 33cl. Aromas maltosos, con toques de caramelo y algo de café, muy suave en sabor que se nota mas al calentar.
