"With its fruity character, and robust flavour, Coopers Pale Ale is perfect for every occasion. Naturally fermented in the 'Burton-on-Trent' style, a secondary fermentation creates the trademark sediment that gives 'Pale' its fine cloudy appearance. This cloudy residue can be stirred through the beer by tipping or rolling the bottle before drinking."

12.7-oz bottle. Cloudy dark yellow color with a small fizzy head that disappears rapidly. Aroma is lightly malty, yeasty with light apricot notes. Flavor is moderately sweet and with some sourness. Hop taste is diminished. Clean finish. Body is light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. Has the feel of a wheat beer. Overall it’s a nice beer. But there is nothing remarkable about it. It’s not really a pale ale though. What is it really?

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2017 As much as I would rather an American Pale, this beer is true to its type of Australian pale ale. The 17 out of 100 that it currently has on this site seems a little harsh as it is an Australian pale ale, and it does that quite well.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2017 Pours from a bottle like creek water, full of floaties and a light shitty head. Tastes like shit bit finished well toward the muddy base. Knock back 3 and your ok. Better off tap for sure but doesn’t stack up to some other IPA’s available these days.

jjgmd (2289) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - NOV 5, 2017
On tap at the Ward Bar in Manley Wharf , New Zealand, pours a cloudy color with a small white head. Bland nose. Taste is grainy and wheaty with some clove and spice . Finishes on the same tasting notes. Maybe fair at best ! Seems like the Aussies can take some helpful hints from the Kiwis on brewing. Quaff Score 5 / 10

jmgreenuk (10330) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 6, 2017
Bottle from a Coles Liqourland, Melbourne. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is skunky malt, some light fruity hop notes. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light dry malt, light fruit, light herbal woody hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not great, but not bad either.

2.6
macca147 (748) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 26, 2017
On tap at Coopers Hotel, Newtown. Pours a pale yellow gold. Aroma: Malt, mild grass and citrus notes. Not aromatic. Taste: Biscuity malt, mild citrus flavours. Moderate carbonation. Thin body. Watery consistency. Mild bitterness. Not particularly flavoursome, but not unpleasant either. An average macro pale ale.
