12.7 Oz Bottle. Nice cloudy copper color with a little white head. Aroma is mostly fruits and maybe a hint of malts. Nice balanced beer mostly sweet but a little bitterness from hops that gives it a very nice touch, it is also quite fruity. Nice, enjoyable beer.
Okay golden ale. Dry and a little grassy. Has an earthy, strangely empty finish. Tried for the first time back in 2009. PotjeBier (3505) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 10, 2017
Bottle @ Drover's Dog (1, East). Deep golden color, just slightlt hazy. White head, not much and short retention. Aroma's: herbal hops, light malts, light spice. Retronasal it's malty, grainish, light fruit and light bitter. Flavor is light caramel sweet , a bit fruity, light bitter. Light medium bodied. Mild bitter finish. Bottle could have been a bit fresher (just days from the bb date), but I still liked it, as I did when I occasionally had this in the late 80's. UPDATED: SEP 5, 2017 Bottle at home. Pours cloudy, trying to get as much out without disturbing the pellet. Golden red in colour with bubbles but poor head retention. Smells like my early failed attempts at brewing from a kit. Yeasty with a fruity undertone. I love this beer! Nothing complicated. Marmite flavour maltyness, nicely balanced, too 'sparkling' maybe a hint of earthy bitterness. Lovely simple quirky beer that I wish pubs sold for the session. sebsky (219) - ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2017

This is a very simple honest tasting beer. Basically a pumped up pale ale and for me it ticks all the boxes including price. It shows what can be done with one one hop some good malt and a good yeast. Its been around for a long while and still stands tall as a a great beer.

This is what I always thought beer should taste like, plain and simple. The beer, though, is neither plain nor simple, but full of taste and malty as a good glass of ale should be. No BS to give about aromas or nose. Just good, consistent flavor and satisfaction. roldano (149) - - JUL 5, 2017
Espuma blanca que se disipa rápidamente, color naranja oscuro y turbio con bastantes burbujas brotando constantemente, aroma ligero a lúpulo, sabor suave con notas amargas jann3 (395) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2017
Hazy golden with a small head. Malty aroma with fruity notes. Taste is mostly malty but has some dryish grapefruit flavour and a hint of alcohol. Tasty and well balanced brew. (375ml bottle from a random liquor store in Sydney) Asing1950 (4) - - JUN 19, 2017 does not count
Love this beer !!! I found out about Coopers Sparkling Ale over forty years ago and even the taste is definitely "unique" once you have tried this beer you will want to come back for more. Excellent taste and the "cloudy" colour adds to the appeal!!!

I’m trying my first ever Australian Sparkling Ale today. And ofcourse it’s the one from Coopers Brewery. It comes in at 5.8% ABV. A sparkling ale is a top-fermented golden colored ale originated in Adelaide, Australia. This pours a cloudy golden body with quite a bit of sediment at the bottom of the glass. The aroma is fruity, and slightly hoppy – I’m not getting a whole lot out of it otherwise. The taste is quite malty with some yeasty and zesty undertones. There’s some fruityness coming through at the end though! To be honest I’m quite disappointed – I maybe expected some crazy carbonation with a stinging mouthfeel. But all in all it’s almost just like a regular golden ale. Very solid but nothing to write home about.
