2010 vintage. Aroma of brown sugar and sucre d’orge. Thin head that receeds in nothingness. Flavors of brewing sugar and no hops. Small hint of oxidation but nothing distracting. Pretty tame for an ESA, it needs more oomph! I won’t seek this out again with some age but I might just give it another go if I ever find it fresh somewhere.

Bottle 35.5cl. vintage 2015, poured into a chalice. Strong vinous nose; hazy medium amber, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing; aroma roasted malts, caramel, nutty notes, raisins; medium to light heavy sweet and light to medium bitter, malty, caramel, spicy notes, quite woody; malty sweetbitter aftertaste, roasty, woody and spicy notes, bit alcoholic; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; nice but still too young, has quite some potential...

2016 Vintage Drank mid 2017. Aroma - Sweet malt smell, caramel, some dark fruit, dried dates, bubblegum, raisins. Appearance - Pours deep gold to pale amber, hazy and a weak off white head Taste - bready, toasty, caramel flavour, some citrus, orange, bubblegum, raisins and some banana. Mouthfeel - medium full to full body, low carb and a creamy feel that leaves a oily feel in your mouth Overall - A great beer packed with tons of difference flavours..love the yeast flavours coming out in this beer, the slight bubble gum and banana really fit in well with all the heavy malt flavours.

Vintage 2010 drucken 2017-05-28.

Bottle. Reddish-gold colour. Vinous mouthfeel. Very fruity (bitter orange marmalade). Hoppy (grassy & earthy; slightly resinous). Malty (toffee, caramel). Yeasty (some floaties and heavily sedimented). Sweet with slightly bitter edge . Alcohol very evident. Long dry fruity malty finish. Very tasty. Good! (2008)
