Hazy amber color, average head. Smells pretty sweet. Taste yeast and caramel. Decent carbonation and body.

brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Vintage 2008. Amber pour with an off-white head. Seems to have passed its prime. Cardboard, water, and a generally oxidized aroma. Some sweet caramel and dark fruit, some toasted bread as well. The flavor is fairly sweet and sugary. Caramel and some fruits, cardboard, and a bit watery.

3.3
bhensonb (15968) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 21, 2007
Batch No. 4-OCT/2002. Aromas of dark fruit and caramel. Translucent ripe apricot color, and the white head evaporated immediately. Medium mouthfeel. Fairly low carbonation. The start is malty sweetness, quickly followed by stone fruit notes. The finish is well balanced between fruit and hop. However, the finish is not strongly bitter. It’s really interesting. Something like a high alcohol British ale.

Ratman197 (15620) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 7, 2006
Best before 10-09-06 Bottle poured a cloudy copper with a small, quickly dissapating amber head. Aromas of carmel, a bit of dark fruit, toffee, and a hint of cocoa. Palate was medium bodied. Flavors of dark fruit, toffee, and a hint of honey with a clean, sweet finish.

imdownthepub (15519) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 25, 2011
Bottled, 375ml, from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Reddy chestnut with slight white head. Sweet, toffee, butterscotch flavours with a heavy alcohol presence right from the off, quite cloying and palate filling. Quite malty, little on the hop front. A big bruiser and not very refined.

Medium complex tart fruit flavor with small bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.
