Batch 19 is derived from a recipe found in an old logbook discovered in brewery archives dating back before 1919, when Prohibition banned beer throughout the country. Prohibition was enforced in Colorado in 1916. The pre-Prohibition style lager delivers a bold, hoppy flavor that is surprisingly well balanced. Test market in Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco, San Jose, and Washington DC.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber with a foamy white head, and swirls of lace. Taste is light caramel malt with a light shot of hops in the finish. Not much happens, but the flavor trumps pretty much everything else Coors produces. Its drinkable. Enough said.

bottle. Poured clear gold with bubbly white head. Aroma is grainy, a bit tart. Light body, carbonated mouthfeel with a sticky dry finish. Grainy flavour, cornish with a little bready malt, metallic note.

Backlog rating on 11-18-2012 (Bottle) The appearance is a small, creamy, smooth off-white head with a long retention, transparent golden body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is grainy malt and a suggestion of corn. The flavor is lightly sweet, hint of hops and malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer does not have a lot of character to it. The flavor is not bad, but it does not leave me wanting this beer again.

"Had semi-high hopes for this, and it turned out just ok. Pretty much what I should have expected. I already thought classic Coors is the best of the BMC products. This is about on par with that, or maaaybe a little better, due to the eber so slight hop presence, but its really just a non-offensive corn or generic malt driven light lager. The flavor would have workled a tiny bit better if the carbonation wasnt so gassy...that took away from what possibly would have been a stright 3. Glad I tried it, probably won;t again."

Transfer from BA review on 1-7-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance Pours a golden amber colored brew with a one finger white head. The head fades rather fast to leave a nice level of lacing. Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a bready and caramel smell. Mixed with these aromas is a light hop smell of a citrus and earthy nature Taste The taste begins with flavors of bread and some caramel sweetness. As the flavor advances a light roasted malt flavor comes to the tongue along with some hop flavors of an earthy nature come to the tongue. As the flavor advances more to the end, it crisps up more as the caramel flavors diminish some and more bready flavors comes to the tongue. With these transitions more hop flavors of a light citrus nature come to the tongue as well and leave a lightly hopped crisp flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel The body of the beer is on the lighter side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is very average. Its pretty decent for the style as it is smooth and matched the crispness and light hop flavors of the brew fairly well. Overall A nice easy drinking and good session brew. It has enough hop flavor to make it somewhat exciting, but it still maintains an easy and relatively clean lager taste.

At Denver Airport. From tap. Reasonably attractive in glass - clear light gold with half a finger head that quickly recedes. A little funky nose - some malt. Taste is corn, malt, and really just kind of blah. It's not particularly interesting or good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
