Brewing Extra Gold Lager requires uncommon patience. Patience in the slow aging of the roasted malts. Patience to take the thtree extra brewing steps needed to craft every batch. This added time and effort yeilds an exceptional, refined lager.

From old tasting notes. Light golden color has a greenish hue. Nice small bubbles support a medium white head. Light malty aroma of grain. Semi-sweet malt flavor with a wisp of hops. A small step up from Coors Banquet.

Poured from a 12 ounce can (identified as only Extra Gold Lager and no Coors about it) grabbed out from of a fairly chilled 30 pack into a 12 ounce thick glass mug. This is another 1 of dem dere beers Ive been imbibing off and on for several years now. it works fine. Aroma: faint, far away grains and thin malts and hops but, acceptable enough to over see. It really does have a neato semi-darkish golden hue to it, from a clear glass mug, anyway. Jumping to overall: It doth good do to both pocket book and beer bud taste sensibilities. Its a pretty simple brew, folks.

12 oz. can. Pours a thin, well retained white head, over an effervescent yellow (SRM 4) body......nose is light malts, mild hops, slightly sweet, corn,balanced......taste is slightly sweet with pear, apple, corn tones, mild cereal, minimal hop bitterness......mouth feel, light body no alcohol, high carbonation, with mild acid. This is a mildly sweet version of this insipid style, and is very light and quenching. Rating below to style, above to enjoyment. BJCP 8/3/15/5/7

12 oz. can. Poured golden with a white head. Aroma was grains, corn. Taste was semi sweet. Okay for what it is, middle of the road.

Can into pils glass, bubbly clear golden-yellow color with bright white head. Aroma notes of grainy malt sweetness, corn and faint hop spice. Taste adds some cereal and grass. Light body, heavy carbonation, crisp with clean finish. Not too bad, just not to flavorful by design.

Pours golden with a thin white head. Slightly sweet and malty. Its probably the best Coors makes.

Clear honey-gold pour with a giant white head. A bit darker yellow than most AALs Ive encountered. Nose is husky malt and corn with a faint hint of grassy hop. Light bodied. Grainy malt and corn. Fairly dry with a kiss of honey. Lingering corn in the finish. Not awful, and at 50 cents a can, a pretty decent blue collar beer. Difficult to find though.

Can from Jungle Jims from backlog notes. Pours a clear light golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have the typical grainy malt, corn, some honey sweetness, mineral character, I would not revisit this again.

Pours a golden with a small head.

The aroma is papery and yeasty with some sorta corniness.

The flavor is a little boozy with some tomato & corn... the hoppiness is at least lightly defined.

Geeze Aaron, next time just give me some bottled soup.
