There are very few beers that make me want to vomit just smelling them, and this is one of them. All I can say is, thank God I didn’t get too much in my mouth.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2017 I dont like this beer. Every time I try one I’m reminded of how marketing and peer pressure influence my behaviour. Sadly.

From a 1936 original short bottle. Pours a clear, pale yellow and makes frothy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is of pale malt. Tastes of malt and little else. It's not a bad beer at all. Just so simple and devoid of hops, distinctive malts, and yeasts, that it's just not enough for me ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned. Clear yellow body. Small white head. The aroma has yeast, quite sweet. The taste is fuller than a standard lager, yet slightly off and metallic.

From a 24 oz can. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Bready aroma. Thin flavors of malt with no discernable hop profile. When I was a lad in Montana, this beer was the holy grail. We would drive to Wyoming just to buy a case. How times have changed.

bunget (985) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2017
Can. Clear pale yellow body, minimal white head with no retention or lacing. Aroma of grains, herbs, wet cardboard and some sulfur notes. Taste of grains, mineral water and some bread crust. Fizzy and not that bad.

pours clear straw yellow with a smallish fizzy white head. nose of grass and skunk. Taste is sweetish. Corn notes. Fairly watery. Better than Coors Light.

Poured from 1 of those "re-introduced", 1930’s-era, 12 ounce brown glass stubbed (stubborn?) bottles into a wet beer mug. Historic enough, I suppose, the beer is; imagining all them hard-rock miners @ the hall, after toiling 12, 13, 14, 15 hours underground, ya, you bet, the 1st thing they want is this beer. What great marketing. (Coors stayed afloat during the decade and 7 years of Prohibitions rule so this particular brew could be enjoyed by the multitudes and snobs alike!) Try it, very, VERY COLD in a glass, w/a 1/4 ounce (or so) of chilled tomato juice, a drop or so of hot sauce and a quick shake from a salt shaker. Makes for a fine, fine red beer.

From a stubby bottle. Pale color with small weak head. Beer from the old days. Not bad for a summer afternoon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Straight from the can. Smells like beer. I can see its yellow and pale through the wide mouth. Taste of sweet corn malt and grain, fizzy.
