Thanks to JohnC for sharing this one. Color is as expected, aroma is roasted malt and cocoa. Decent coffee and bitter chocolate flavors but the body is a bit thin to support the overall flavor profile. bp (939) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 9, 2008
Draft at the Brewery: pours dark black with very little head, i didn’t pick up much aroma other than some coffee, taste is chocolate and coffee, very nice brew. jeremytoni (3082) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2008
From the tap poured dark brown with a good amount of light brown head. Nice rich malty sweet flavor, with a good finish. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 18, 2008
(12oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Small brown head atop brown-black body. Aroma is medium sweet, milk chocolate, some smoke, roast. Taste is medium sweet, milk chocolate, caramel, some molasses, smoke. Medium body, some syrup. Pastor (799) - Skowhegan, Maine, USA - OCT 26, 2009
Thanks to FooFaa for this extra. 12 oz bottle poured into a tulip produced two fingers worth of coco colored head that just stays around. The body is a midnight black. The aroma of the brew is strong roasted malts, big dark chocolate and espresso notes as well.
Flavor is very similar to the nose. The flavors of espresso and dark chocolate come thru very bitter not to much sweetness in this brew at all. It has a medium feel in my mouth with good carbonation almost too much for the style.
A good porter easy to drink on this rainy Sunday

Draft. Pours near black with a thin beige head. Roasty and sweet malty aroma with some mild nutty notes. The flavor has roasted and lightly burnt malts, coffee, and a light sweetness. Decent. GAManiac (1944) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 2, 2010
Pours almost completely black with a slightly fizzy mocha head that recedes to a thin collar. The aroma has chocolate, vanilla and toasted malts. There’s also a little bit of tartness in the nose. The taste has an initial tartness that may indicate a little infection but there is still plenty of thick chocolate malts and coffee underneath. It’s got an excellent body for the ABV and I imagine it was an exceptional porter in its prime. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

This brew pours nearly black with little head. Roasty with some maltiness, the body is a bit on the light side. mferreira (3) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 23, 2008 does not count
This beer has a full dark chocolate flavor with hints of dark roasted coffee. It could have benefited from additional malt to offset the bitterness. The aroma was of alcohol and chocolate. It features an opaque black color with caramel hued head. Lacks nuance but if dark chocolate is your passion, then this beer could be very pleasurable.
